about us

Elk Lick Scout Reserve is in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains near Smethport, Pennsylvania. Situated on 313 acres of forest, the camp is a great setting for hiking, mountain biking and camping. During the summer, it is our council Cub Scout Resident Camp, offering four sessions and a family camp weekend. During the off-season, it is the home of the Calumet International Camporee, held every August. It has 5 cabins for winter outings rental, and is in proximity of Allegany State Park and the Kinzua area, as well great skiing.

Our council is a premier youth-serving organization in Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Allegany counties in New York, and McKean and Potter counties in Pennsylvania. Through scouting experiences, we strive for the very best for all the young people in all our communities. We provide the tools necessary for all our leaders to be effective, from thorough training opportunities, great council programming, and outstanding camps. We are committed to service, quality, and growth. We exist to deliver on the promise of fun, excitement, and fundamental learning experiences that will expand our children's horizons for life.

Everyone must follow the Code of Conduct, Scout Oath and Law. THE CAMP DIRECTOR MAY ASK ANY SCOUT, LEADER OR STAFF MEMBER EXHIBITING UNSCOUTLIKE OR DANGEROUS BEHAVIOR TO LEAVE CAMP. Flying the confederate flag is strictly prohibited. Displaying any overtly political signs, flags or messages is strictly prohibited.
